Dilute Radiesse®

Dilute Radiesse is a Radiesse formula that’s diluted with saline to allow for more easy distribution and spreading across a wider treatment area. The thicker formula used in Radiesse is ideal for adding lift and volume in areas like cheekbones, jawline, and chin, while Dilute Radiesse is a more fluid formula designed to treat laxity and provide underlying skin structure, and addresses more areas like the cheeks, undereye, and lower face where a more subtle effect is desired.

*Please note: You’ll notice that the before and after images shown may reflect a combination of treatments rather than a single procedure. At deRMA, our goal is always to optimize outcomes and sometimes that is best achieved with a combination of treatments. These galleries showcase what’s possible with a thoughtfully designed treatment plan tailored to each patient’s unique needs, which can include Dilute Radiesse. Remember, every patient is unique—your results will depend on your individual skin, goals, and treatment plan.

Why is my skin changing with age?

It’s natural for our skin’s tone and texture to change with age. The building blocks of healthy, vibrant skin like collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid decrease by 1-1.5% every year starting in our mid-30s1. You may notice skin’s aging components of Degradation, Deflation and Descent as the natural signs of aging begin to take effect. A strategic skincare regimen with sunscreen, antioxidants, and retinol can help slow down signs of aging, but cosmetic treatments go further. Treatments like Dilute Radiesse get to the root of concerns by triggering collagen production, restructuring skin, and helping restore the supportive scaffolding that gives your skin structure and contour.

Treatments like Dilute Radiesse are part of comprehensive skin rejuvenation

Our lead cosmetic and aesthetic dermatologist, Dr. Sajic has developed the 5 Dimension Skin Plan™ to address the aging components of Degradation, Deflation and Descent in all 5 dimensions of the skin – bone, fat, deep tissue, surface/texture and muscle. Aging is a complex process and the right combination of treatments requires a customized plan unique to you. Radiesse is one treatment tool we may recommend in combination with other injectables, microneedling, or laser skin treatments.

How does Dilute Radiesse Work?

We use the most advanced technique to strategically dilute Radiesse with the most optimal concentration for each treated area to focus on improving skin quality, firmness, and elasticity instead of volume. Diluting Radiesse allows us to optimize results with the right concentration of filler in specific areas of concern to trigger broad collagen and elastin production. Dilute Radiesse is injected superficially under the surface of the skin where it sparks the body’s naturally healing processes. While the diluted formula doesn’t provide the same kind of structured lift that thicker Radiesse formulas do, it spreads more easily to prioritize biostimulation, smooth fine lines and holistically improve skin.

What are the benefits of Dilute Radiesse?

Collagen and elastin production begins to appear as early as 4 weeks after Dilute Radiesse injection with long-lasting results. Dilute Radiesse provides long term and natural skin tightening with supple and soft skin thickening. Dilute Radiesse benefits include:

  • Reduction in fine lines and wrinkles
  • Restored thickness to address thinning skin and skin laxity
  • Improved overall tone, elasticity and skin pliability
  • Treating cellulite and uneven skin
  • Non-surgical Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)

What Areas Can Be Treated With Dilute Radiesse?

As leaders in non-invasive, non-surgical cosmetic treatments, our skilled specialists at deRMA offer advanced Radiesse techniques at our Guelph and Burlington clinics. We can effectively target areas of concern including:

  • Upper inner arms
  • Buttocks, including cellulite
  • Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) (Non-surgical and minimally invasive)
  • Neck
  • Décolletage
  • Mid and lower face
  • Abdomen
  • Knees

What Happens During A Dilute Radiesse Treatment?

Your comfort and natural, beautiful results are our main priority. During Dilute Radiesse treatment, we will apply a topical anesthetic (cream) and injectable numbing to the target area to ensure your comfort. Once the area is numb, we use a blunt, flexible  needle to deliver product across the treatment area. A cannula will be used to gently glide back and forth to slowly and evenly distribute the Dilute Radiesse to the targeted areas.

When Will I See Dilute Radiesse Results?

Subtle, temporary plumping from your Dilute Radiesse treatment should be visible immediately, but the structural results will continue to improve for up to 6 months as your body naturally processes the product . After your treatment, cell turnover is activated and you’ll naturally start producing collagen, elastin and other growth factors for continually more radiant, firm, tight, supple skin. Dilute Radiesse produces long term tissue remodeling, with effects lasting 12-18 months after a series of treatments2

How Many Dilute Radiesse Sessions Are Required?

One to three Dilute Radiesse treatment sessions 4-6 weeks apart may be needed in the first round to achieve optimal aesthetic effects. After this, we recommend one maintenance session every 6-18 months depending on your needs. The timing of repeated sessions depends on your genetics, how well you take care of your skin, your skin care product regimen, and the frequency of other treatments like radiofrequency maintenance sessions.

What Is The Recovery Like After Dilute Radiesse?

Dilute Radiesse is a minimally-invasive procedure and it does not require extensive downtime. There may be some mild bruising and swelling that should go away within 7-10 days. Pain is generally minimal and can usually be handled with mild pain medication. Most patients can get back to all of their regular activities immediately following Dilute Radiesse treatment.

How Much Does Dilute Radiess Cost?

The cost of Dilute Radiesse is dependent on the area(s) being treated. We’ll walk you through expectations, pricing, and the process in thorough detail at your consultation so you know exactly what to expect.

Can I Combine Dilute Radiesse With Other Treatments?

Yes. Dilute Radiesse is often used as a part of our patented 5 Dimension Skin Plan™ (available only at deRMA Skin Institute). We strongly believe that combination treatment plans that are bespoke to your needs and work together in tandem offer the best clinical outcomes. We may recommend multiple modalities to target several concerns at once, or as part of a holistic strategy to look and feel your best. Most commonly, Dilute Radiesse can be combined with: AccuTite™, eCO2 laser resurfacing, other dermal fillers (JUVÉDERM®, Restylane or Sculptra), or RF microneedling.
