By far the most important question when selecting a filler is who is doing the filler procedure. Fillers are medical devices and need to be treated with the proper respect. Much like when selecting a driver to pilot a Formula One car, we passionately believe that it’s not sufficient to have just anyone with a driver’s license behind the wheel. Especially when they are wheeling near your face!

For the safety & satisfaction of our patients, all lip injections are performed by one of our expert physicians who are certified in dermatology and aesthetic medicine.

Our team will meet with you during the consultation to discuss your goals and discuss the risks and benefits of the fillers.

As our face is the key to our communication with the world, intricate understanding of the anatomy and dynamics of the skin and each type of filler (and how they interact at different areas of the face) are critical in finding the right filler.

Moreover, we find that less is often more!!

To achieve the optimal cometic outcome we often combine different types of fillers with different procedures (like botox, lasers, radiofrequency and other energy devices) in order to give you the most natural results. Our goal is to slow down, reverse and prevent father time in the most natural way possible. We want to work with you to achieve the best version of you. A rested, glowing, vibrant you!

“If it looks done – its been done wrong” is what you will hear Dr Sajic and his team saying over and over again.

In our clinic we have extensive experience with using a combination of fillers to achieve a non-surgical, minimally invasive liquid face lift. The Goal is to use them like building blocks to replace the structures father time has taken away. Dr Sajic has developed and patented the 5 Dimension Skin Lift procedure = available only at derma skin institute! Book a consultation today to see what is possible

With advancing age, our face loses bone, fat, elastin and collagen under the skin. This can be especially prominent in fit individuals. A young face is defined by facial fullness, not simply tightness of skin.

Hyaluronic acid (or HA for short), is a multi-functioning, naturally occurring molecule found in the human body. HA has the ability to hold nearly 1,000 times its weight in water, helping to plump and moisturize the skin. As we age (in our early 30s!!!) we start losing about 1 ml of our own HA every year! As a result our faces start to deflate. Think of a Grape slowly becoming a raisin.

Fortunately, there is a way to replace this – HA can be found in injectable fillers like Juvéderm, Restylane, Belotero and others  as well as in topical products, like the H.A. Intensifier from SkinCeuticals.

HA dermal fillers come many different forms – some designed to be firm, others elastic while other soft. Some like skin boosters are designed to not alter your face but give you ultimate hydration and eliminate very fine lines

Besides HA, various other types of fillers are available on the market, each of which is designed to have a different function. They include Radiesse, Sculptra and Bellafill to name a few. These are made of longer lasting materials that can last longer.

Think of them like building blocks for your house. Just like concrete is good for your foundation but not your roof, different fillers make sense in different areas of the face. Your lips will generally need a different type of filler than your chin, while your cheeks a different filler than your jaw and forehead.

Regardless of what filler use, our goal is always to work with you to give you the best possible outcome: to match how you feel on the inside with what you see in the mirror. Youthful, vibrant and unstoppable.

The fillers we carry in our clinic include

  • Juvederm
  • Restylane
  • Belotero
  • Radiesse
  • Sculptra
  • Injectable Radiofrequency (Accutite)

Unlike BOTOX®, dermal filler results are noticeable immediately, especially when done as a part of the 5 D skin Lift procedure. It is normal to have a bit of swelling and some lumpiness (more felt than seen) however as the products settle the natural results are boosted even more. Many of our patients at Derma Skin Institute pair dermal fillers with treatments such as Radiofrequency Microneedling with Morhpheus8, CO2 Laser (the eCo2), BOTOX®, Clearlift, Accutite among others to ensure that texture, tone, skin tightening and volume in the face are all optimal. We don’t have cookie cutter approach and all of our treatments are individualized by our board-certified cosmetic dermatologist to suit your unique needs. You are not a cookie so don’t settle for cookie cutter approaches!

Generally most patients tolerate this very well. We use numbing cream as well as local anaesthesia to make you comfortable. If needed we may also medicate you with prescription strength pain medicine. We also have Penthrox as an option – an effective, fast-acting, inhaled analgesic product which is not classified as an opioid that helps greatly with pain and anxiety

We will give you a sheet on how to best care for your skin after the procedure. Generally this is well tolerated though there may be bruising. We have laser treatments that can significantly decrease bruising should you get it. Don’t massage your face and generally avoid heavy exercise for the first 48 hrs.
